A mariner’s compass flying through space for my baby brother’s high school graduation gift (not completed until Christmas). He designed the yellow ‘free thoughts’ zooming through space in the background. The compass representing guidance is Foundation Paper Pieced, and the ‘free thoughts’ are appliqued, reverse appliqued and curve-pieced. The surface is machine quilted.
