The 3rd Saturday in March is National Quilting Day. On this special day (for quiltmakers that is) when fabric is discounted, classes abound, guilds have special events and challenges, and there are museum shows galore. There is even a Twitter site at #NationalQuiltingDay to share your special creations. The Worldwide Quilting Day Facebook page urges us to support that too. At the International Quilt Study Center and Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska they are holding tons of activities for enthusiasts.
No matter how you celebrate it, be sure to make more quilts, document them, and spread them around. Make them, show them, give them away, sell them. Happy Quilting!
