In this new year of 2026, Bijou and I are getting to know each other (see below) and it's just wonderful having her in my life. I have several projects in mind this year, namely completing the Las Passacaglia, now in its 3rd year of making (after several breaks from it). The Circle of Life … Continue reading What’s Going On

Bijou
My last cat Minou died in the late 1990s. My sweet puppy Edgar dies in June 2025. In January 2026, I went to Second Chance Animal Center in Arlington, VT and adopted a 2-year old dilute tortie short hair cat. I named her Bijou ("jewel" in French). Within 4 hours of being home she was … Continue reading Bijou

Circle of Life, in Progress
Not much to see yet! This is a Quilt-As-You-Go technique from Sharon Peterson in her More Reversible Quilts book. This is perfect for my living room knotty pine wall, and it's 2 quilts in one so I can reverse it with the seasons or my whim. It's designed and my freezer paper pattern is done. … Continue reading Circle of Life, in Progress
Beth’s Quilt Restoration Project
This quilt is an eight-pointed star, possibly the Sarah's Choice quilt block, in blue calico and cream muslin, and measures 84" x 97". The restoration areas - needed on the back and front of the quilt - basically include several of these types of issues (see images at bottom): burn marks, holes, missing batting, mysterious … Continue reading Beth’s Quilt Restoration Project
Dresden Buffet, 22″ x 90″, Bondville VT 2025
September 2025 update: Completed and I'm so happy with it! It's two-sided, so that will be very useful. I had decided on the black background, and made it reversible with a light blue Grunge on the the other side. The Dresdens were done during a Jean Impey workshop. This quilt is to replace the one … Continue reading Dresden Buffet, 22″ x 90″, Bondville VT 2025
