English Paper Piecing

Since January of 2022 I have been working on technique that I had forgotten about – EPP!  It’s been a while, but I stumbled upon Tula Pink’s Nova pattern and I am hooked!

The first one is on the right below, it’s my Alice EPP.  It took me about 2.5 months to finish the top, using Tula’s Curiouser and Curiouser fabric line. I plan to put this on the wall in the play room in my house.  I think my nieces and nephew will love it.  This image is just the completed top, not yet quilted.  I’m thinking of double-batting this quilt just like Tula does, to make the quilting pop and to help it hold up it’s shape when I hang it.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_2795.jpeg

I have completed the piecing of my second EPP quilt seen above on the left – My New Obsession I’m calling it! It’s from chef Karen Tripp, the pattern is called Obsession. It’s an intermediate pattern.

I started in May when the spring was really in the air, and purchased my next EPP project: Fiesta Gitana by Willyne Hammerstein in her Millefiori Quilts 4 book. I’m calling my version Gypsy Party, started it in mid July 2022.
